The Department of Geography was established in 2006 for UG General Course and in 2008 UG Honours Course. It is dedicated to fostering a conductive learning environment where students are encouraged to explore their potential and achieve holistic growth. Geography is the department in Arts section which organizing numerous field visit and excursion programs, providing students with invaluable practical experiences. With a focus on applied geography and field work the department aims to giving hands on experience of theoretical knowledge which students develop the skills necessary to solving real life geographical issues. The department has grown in terms of academic and faculty strength. Facilities within the department include a well-equipped laboratory and a departmental library. Additionally, students benefit from easy access to a range of tools and instruments, facilitating their engagement with the subject matter and fostering a deeper interest in geography
