Since 1965, the year of the establishment of the College, the College Library has been working as the resource centre of the institution. Continuously the Library is emerging in different aspects like its documents, users, services, etc. and simultaneously this Library has established itself as the heart of the institution in the context of resource sharing. Almost fifty thousand documents including textbooks, reference books, novels, etc., competitive examination books, journals, periodicals, maps, and previous year question papers are there in our Library. Two separate reading rooms for students and staff are there. Since 2016, physical description resources have been managed through KOHA, the integrated Library Management Software (ILMS), and since 2022, the College ILMS has been on the cloud. That means users from any corner of the world could benefit through Web-OPAC. We do have membership of the N-List (INFLIBNET) repository from where the users of the library can access lots of e-books and e-journals from different publishers or databases. Books of the Library are arranged and followed by Dewey Decimal Classification. The library also organised various programmes like user orientation programmes, seminars, quiz competitions (online and offline), book reviews, etc. Each year prizes and certificates are provided to the best user of the library and the database and took position in different competitions. The entire Library including the entrance and exit is secured under CCTV surveillance for the safeguard of Library users, Library documents, and other physical properties of the Library and the College as well. Fire extinguishers are installed in the library to prevent fire hazards. Drinking water facilities are available in the library.
